Psychotherapy based on your individual wants and needs.

It's lovely to meet you!

Who I am:

Sharoda (pronounced SHAH-ro-dah) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Social Worker located in Colorado. I primarily work in the Boulder area and I am licensed in Colorado and also registered to practice social work in Ontario, Canada via telehealth. I am multi-racial, neurodivergent, and part of the queer and trans community. My pronouns are she/they.

If you'd like to find out more about me and my approach to therapy, fill out the contact form here and we can schedule a 20-minute phone consultation in which we learn more about one another.

Experience and Focus:

I received my MSW from Southern Connecticut State University in 2020. I have worked in several settings, but my primary experience comes from college counseling, working with queer youth, and supporting clients struggling with substance use and addiction. I work with adolescents and adults and I truly love working with young adults, the LGBTQIA2S+ community, multicultural folks, and neurodivergent people, including (and especially) those who have been labeled "Gifted".

I am also a Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist working towards certification in IFS. My experience working with clients who are survivors of complex trauma has led me to realize that I very much enjoy working with folks who have strongly defined parts (including those with dissociative disorders such as DID and OSSD) and folks who have been labeled with various personality disorders, including BPD, NPD, and OCPD.

My passion lies in supporting individuals to navigate difficult experiences and relationships in their lives and to grow to become their most authentic, empowered selves. I experience such joy when I witness my clients reaching deeper insights, feeling more self-confident, and making lasting changes in their lives.

Therapeutic Approach:

My approach is tailored to each individual I work with and involves guiding my clients from a framework of trauma-informed and liberation therapy. I use a relational, psychodynamic, and systems theory lens in viewing the challenges my clients face. I most often use techniques arising from Internal Family Systems Therapy/parts work, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I always try to stay aware of how systems (as small as our individual selves and as expansive as the world we live in) affect both myself and my clients. I aim to be transparent, to consistently challenge systemic oppression, and to advocate for social justice.
